Position Title: Construction Superintendent - Ground-Up

Job Overview

Pivotal Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent - Ground-Up to oversee the successful execution of commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate brings 5-10 years of ground-up field leadership experience and a strong command of all phases of construction-from site work and foundations to structure, MEPs, and finishes. This is a boots-on-the-ground role where leadership, organization, and jobsite coordination are key. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities for assigned ground-up projects
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and inspections
  • Ensure projects are built to specifications, on schedule, and within budget
  • Conduct and document daily jobsite reports, including progress photos and updates
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite with strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and submit documentation accordingly
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on schedules, scopes, and RFIs
  • Manage subcontractor performance and quality control throughout all phases
  • Maintain regular communication with owners, architects, and inspectors
  • Assist with project punch list and closeout coordination

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects
  • Proven ability to lead subcontractors and enforce project quality, timeline, and safety standards
  • In-depth knowledge of all phases of commercial construction, including foundations, framing, MEP systems, and finishes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of project documentation, drawings, and schedules
  • Proficient with construction software and digital reporting tools
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
