Staff Tax Associate Location Dallas, TX (North Dallas area) :

Job Summary

SST seeks a Tax Associate in the Dallas area.

Tax Associates will work with small and large companies in various industries individuals, trusts, partnerships, foundations, non- profits, and corporations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Preparing and reviewing estimated tax payments for individuals, trusts, and corporations.
  • Preparing a and reviewing federal and state income tax returns
  • Reviewing client data and books for accuracy, making adjustments as needed,
  • Preparing and reviewing client financial statements including financial transaction data entry, bank account reconciliation.
  • Data entry and bookkeeping.
  • Client payroll services (as needed)
  • Tax research
  • Correspondence with current and potential clients in person and telephone, email and fax.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1+ years of relevant experience (tax preparation and bookkeeping)
  • Knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations, and deadlines
  • Proficiency with common tax preparation software, familiarity with CCH Tax Program (is a plus)
  • Familiarity with the tax return submission and confirmation process, including how to navigate the IRS and other government entity online platforms
  • Proficiency in all bookkeeping and payroll procedures within QuickBooks Desktop/ and QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (required)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including patience and flexibility
  • Flexibility to act autonomously while being a team player
  • Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic planning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must be willing to learn new skills and adapt to changes in the industry QuickBooks Online (required)

Salary Range $55,000-$70,000 (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
